By two months Kayla was only getting up once or twice a night and going back down pretty quickly. She is a great nighttime sleeper. The first two months were rough as with any baby but by Memorial Day, I was starting to function like a normal human being. We still have her in the back-n-play in our room.
Some memories from that fog of the early days are that Kayla was famous for peeing as soon as we took her diaper off. Lots of laundry and wipes early on.
Kayla weighed 10lbs 6 oz at her two month appointment which put her in the 50th percentile and was 23 and a 1/4 inches long which put her in the 90th percentile. I think the length measurement might have been off though.
We received a lot of new 0-3 clothes and a bunch of really pretty 3-6 months summer hand-me-down. So we have been set on clothes.
Kayla has liked sitting in the bouncy seat that we keep in the kitchen. We put her on the floor sometimes but not as often as we did with our other kids since she could easily get stepped on.
Kayla took her first big trip to Uncle Justin's wedding yesterday. (The 3 month pictures were taken on the bed at the hotel in PA. We forgot the flamingo.) She is a great traveler.
Kayla nurses like a champ. I think she spits up more than any of the other kids did though. At least more in terms of quantity of spit up each time. I have to hurry up and get the burb cloth under her mouth before just has a chance to burb because when she does, a lot comes out. I remember this one mom at church (who had a baby right before Levi was born) holding the burb cloth under her baby's mouth while he was on her lap and I thought that was so weird until I ended up with a baby that spits ounces at a time and now I understand why!
Kayla seems to like it when we sing and she often tries to talk and sing herself!
